For the first time I finally had a chance to join the Social Media Week. And I plan to participate in events about Social Media and the Law.

For now I will collect my impressions in chronological order with the aim to write a blog post on my thoughts on how the social media related laws will affect UX design.

The first event I went to was a panel talk hosted by Like Minds. The panel consisted of:

  • Nina Barakzai – @Ninabzai – EMEA Privacy & Ethics Counsel at Dell.
  • Jenny Afia – @jennyafia –  Partner, Schillings.
  • James Frith – @JamesFirth – CEO, Open Digital Policy Org.
  • Eric Joyce MP – @ericjoyce – Member of the Joint Committee on Privacy and Injunctions, Vice Chair (digital) of Parliamentary Internet Communications and Technology Forum.
